Mentors Mix with Student Entrepreneurs

SBU student entrepreneurs kicked off Innovation Month on October 1 in the Innovation Center by exploring their startups with mentors.  The mentors, who are serial entrepreneurs with their bios described on the mentor page, were Marc Alessi, Amel Chaudhuri,  Burke Liburt, and Doug Whitcomb.  They were joined by student mentor Jake Schmigelski, alumnus mentor Peter Russy and high school student Erica Xerri.  Students were from CoB and Engineering. There were a series of small group discussions between students and mentors.  Both found the informal meeting informative and exciting.  Plans are being made to do it again next month.
