The State University of New York on 3/22 announced more than $4 million in Investment and Performance Fund awards for SUNY campuses across the state, including  Stony Brook University and the College of Business, which will receive $280,000 in Open SUNY funds to create an online MBA with a concentration in Innovation
The online MBA program features a capstone project course using a game for building a competitive pitch for a startup.  The game will be designed by the Shift Group founded by Stefan Doering. Four courses in the concentration are entrepreneurship, market research, new product development, and entrepreneurial finance. Funds willed by used for bringing these courses online.
For a student with an undergraduate business degree, eight core courses online and the concentration bring the degree to the student, and the support to start or innovate a business.  This program is planned to bring MBA in Innovation to students throughout New York and create excitement among students who loved to play games.
