The Innovation Lab, located  in 210 Harriman Hall, is a maker space for innovative students who want to design a new product. Benches, equipment, and 3D printers are for making models, and computers and software for designing products or apps for smart phones.  www.stonybrook.edu/innovationlab

During the Winter break, 17 undergrads took BUS 353 Entrepreneurship online.  The class met 3 hours a day online and was taught by ShiftGroups Stefan Doering who designed the course and Gerrit Wolf, Director of the Innovation Center.  Students logged on from India, Korea, China and California as well as from home locally. Each student delivered a five minute pitch the final day for his or her business, which ranged from new security photo for a smart phone to a USB stick for movies.
