SBU business students in Rome in July created thin business plans for businesses in the ancient city of Pompeii, in the renaissance cities of Florence and Rome, and the industrial revolution cities of  Amsterdam and Manchester.  For a final project, students created thin plans for businesses today that connected their Italian experience to the US.

Senator Ken LeValle Innovates in Rome
Senator Ken LeValle of New York is visiting the SBU Italian Summer School Program in Rome in July.  He is a guest lecturer in Entrepreneurship Across Countries, in which he leads a panel discussion on the Greek Financial Crisis.  Students learn about the economic and political reasons and consequences for the crisis.  The opportunities and consequences for entrepreneurs is discussed

Entrepreneurial MBA applicants will benefit this fall from two new MBA programs that require fewer credits than before but the same number of entrepreneurship courses.  One for students with no prior business education requires 48 credits with 12 in the entrepre-neurship concentration,  The other for students with an undergraduate business degree requires 36 credits including 12 in the entrepreneurship concen-tration. Each alternative requires as part of the MBA core 3 credits in tech innovation, 3 in consulting to an entrepreneur, and 3 in entrepreneurship strategy or social entrepreneurship for a total of 21 credits in entrepreneurship.
